Privacy policy
This explains what we do with your information when you use Who's My Grafter. We are the data controller. If you want anything here explained, or want your data removed, email hello@whosmygrafter.co.uk.
What we collect
When you fill in the job form we collect:
- The trade you picked and what you wrote about the job
- Roughly when you need it done
- Your postcode
- Your name and phone number, and your email if you give one
We do not ask for payment details. We never see them, because you pay the tradesperson directly.
Why we collect it
To find a suitable tradesperson for your job and put the two of you in touch. That is the only reason. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
Who we share it with
We pass your name, phone number, postcode and job description to one tradesperson so they can contact you and quote. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to multiple companies. That is the whole point of the service.
We also use suppliers who process data on our behalf, such as our website host and the system we use to manage jobs. They act on our instructions only.
How long we keep it
Job enquiries are kept for two years, so we can deal with any dispute about work that was carried out. After that they are deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email hello@whosmygrafter.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
